OSHA's New HazCom Standard & GHS
On March 20, 2012, OSHA announced the release of the final rule updating the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS). The HCS is now aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and will provide a common and coherent approach to classifying chemicals and communicating hazard information on labels and safety data sheets. This new standard will also help reduce trade barriers and result in productivity improvements for American businesses. This class will highlight the changes to the new HCS including hazard classification, labeling, safety data sheets and information and training. We will discuss how the changes will affect most employers and the phase-in periods.
This class is 3 hours long and costs $0.
